How Do You Get to Qasr Al Watan?

Location in Abu Dhabi

Qasr Al Watan is in Al Ras Al Akhdar, near the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Visitors arriving by car should first follow directions to the Visitor Centre.

Driving from Dubai

Take Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) toward Abu Dhabi, continue toward Corniche Street, then follow signs for Qasr Al Watan. Check live road conditions before departure.

Driving from Saadiyat or Yas Island

Use Sheikh Khalifa Bridge (E12), then continue by Corniche Street toward Qasr Al Watan.

Parking at the Visitor Centre

On arriving by car, you will see the Visitor Centre car park. Ample self-parking is available with no charge.

Free Shuttle to the Palace

Continuous free shuttle buses run between the Visitor Centre and the palace entrance. This is an internal service, not transport to or from the wider Abu Dhabi area.

The free Experience Abu Dhabi Shuttle Bus gives local and international visitors a way to reach leading Abu Dhabi attractions, including Qasr Al Watan.

Traveling with Luggage

There are no locker facilities, and bags larger than 500(W) x 350(H) (mm) will not pass security screening. Visitors stopping on the way to or from the airport should use luggage storage at the airport or their hotel.
